KARA just took in Devon, a 6-year-old male yellow Labrador retriever mix who is the only surviving animal of a house fire in central Illinois. Upon examination by our veterinarian, Devon has been diagnosed with heartworms and Lyme disease. Check out a picture of Devon in our Photo Gallery, and look for updates on his status on our Facebook page. Also, please consider donating to help cover his veterinary expenses, currently estimated at approximately $2000. Because KARA is a 501c3 non-profit organization, all donations are 100% tax deductible! Click on our "Donating to KARA" link above or visit our fundraising page: www.youcaring.com/nonprofits/help-devon-recover-from-a-fire-heartworms-and-lyme-disease/323858. Thank you for your support!
